Meet the dynamic team behind Fruit Bearing Studios, a beacon of dedication and faith-driven creativity. Trey and Kyria Williams, a husband-and-wife duo from St. Louis, MO, heeded a spiritual calling in 2013, drawing inspiration from their pastor's unwavering teachings, to embark on a journey of writing and producing original faith-based stage plays. With Trey's audio expertise and Kyria's gift of storytelling, they forged an indomitable partnership, marking the genesis of their journey.
Their quest for quality videography led Derrick Mullen, a former colleague from Atlanta, GA, to join the fold. Derrick's passion for visual storytelling and technical prowess sparked a new era for the previously titled company, KMW Productions. His contribution propelled the company's branding and marketing efforts, culminating in the birth of Mullen Group Productions. Together, they crafted captivating stage plays like "Love Changes Things," "The Wake Up Call," "Moving Forward," and "Marriage Works, If, You Work It," igniting excitement in the urban theater scene.
In 2017, their creative vision expanded into the realm of filmmaking. Adapting "The Wake Up Call" into a feature film garnered acclaim at the International Christian Film Festival and the Church Stars Network. Buoyed by this success, they focused solely on film production, delivering moving films such as "A New Husband for Christmas" (2020), "The Gift of Grace" (2021), and “The Company You Keep” (2023), all available for streaming on Amazon and Tubi TV.
Their debut film, "The Wake Up Call" (2018), remains an exclusive gem on their YouTube channel.
But their journey doesn't end there. Currently in pre-production for their fifth film, "Christmas Owes Me Nothing," they continue to inspire audiences with their family-friendly, Christ-centered narratives. In addition, the team extends their reach with "Fruit Bearing Conversations," a podcast offering insightful discussions on faith and life, airing new episodes on YouTube every 1st and 3rd Thursday, and available for audio streaming on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
With their merger under their new company name Fruit Bearing Studios, this team stands as a testament to the power of obedience, perseverance, and trust in God. For those seeking cinematic experiences filled with inspiration and hope, stay tuned.
